Wow, this is so true. You are spot on about four days ago. I ordered three bottles and then I kept looking at my wish list and wondered if I forgot one and for some reason I felt like I didn’t get enough so I ordered nine more bottles my wife actually thought I went nuts, I feel like you can never have enough or you never have that perfect scent that you’re looking for . I was disappointed I believe that’s why I went and bought nine more. I feel like I will never find the perfect fragrance so I will buy and buy more. I bought so much listening to these influencers I bought 90% on blind buys. I’m never fully happy though. This is actually scary. So yesterday I deleted all my subscriptions to see if I’m addictive. Well here I am on utube this morning just looking because now it’s my morning routine. We have to remember these influencers are here to make money, get free perfumes, or other perks. It’s all scripted. Believe me they don’t know or smell these notes like they perceive. Fake knowledge they are no better than us guys. They just have these Utube accounts . I bought over 30 bottles since June. Honestly that’s scary shit

This was my mother’s signature scent. She died at 46. This fragrance is beautiful and inhabits all her clothing and personal effects 20 plus years after her death. I have a little bottle of her perfume in a blue velvet pouch. It sits in a box of silk scarves and leather gloves. I picked up some older bottles of the perfume and edp. It took me a long time to be able to wear them. For me, the scent is a bit melancholic and very elegant. The fragrance was revived in the 2010’s, I think. It never really disappeared but it had become altered beyond recognition. I hope you get a chance to experience Je Reviens in all of its vintage glory. Thank you for sharing your experience. As you can tell, it certainly evokes poignant memories for me.

I loved the first and the last garments! But if you're uncomfortable with the pattern/size, then definitely go for the ones you prefer! The last cardi is a very flattering shape and even in oversize looks fab!

Great video. I always include my 10ml sizes as well being that they last a longtime, especially when you have a collection your size.

This cardigan in blue is very pretty. I finally got the Emile in red after not finding it in sage. I was surprised how much I love their vibrant colours ❤ I was lucky to find a lucas jumper and a willa jacket in their archives so I think I'm ready for the Fall season 😄

That blue colour is beautiful on you, and I think that the v-neck suits you really well - more than the high round neck. Definitely try the smaller size - it also looks so soft and lovely! :)

Going with your true hair colour was so right! You look great and best for your colouring. Size issues aside, I also love the blue cardigan on you, it’s beautiful.The other pieces, I agree, not the most flattering. I also like figure forming knits vs the boxy ones and much prefer the V necks like your cardigan.

Thank you for this video! I am just 3 weeks in and already spend 1000 euros, some expensive ones and a lot from like Lattafa etc. Already addictive, like so many addictions I had. I need to stop filling the void for sure, it is not helping me improve my life. I did see it as a hobby , but now I cannot control myself. I ordered 2 yesterday and then 2 more from my bed! Insanity!!!! I get so influenced by mainly UA-cam, even as a 51 yo male lol. Thanx again, you really made me think! 1932 is horrible, smelling like spit, do not buy.

The main reason we keep buying are the UA-cam influencers. Unfollow and stop watching those channels. I have 14 bottles and as a minimalist by nature, it drives me crazy. I’ve started selling about 6 or 7 of them. What I noticed: 1. Most of them smell almost the same at dry down since they the same notes. 2. People around you don’t care as long as you smell good. 3. If you must buy, get a 30 or 50 ml instead 100 ml, though the price sometimes is the same.

I have 160+ fragrances and no debt. I don't even have anything but an average income. It's not complicated. Just have all your regular bills paid regularly/automatically and what you have left, it's for spending. Spend less than you have. That's it. Now, do I need 160 fragrances? No, I sometimes sell some, sometimes I swap. Is it luxury? Sure, bit again, what is in my account is for spending and I just spend less. I'm 50 years old and it's been decades since I've had less that 5000 UKP in my account. I've accumulated all my fragrances over years. The problem is people who want to build up a 50+ collection in months or even weeks.

I prefer many of the Arabian perfumes from a couple of houses. I'm older, mid 50s, and my ancestry is SE Asia and the ME. The deeper attars, oils, etc. remind me of the women in my family who wore more intense fragrances. Musks, ambers and ouds are comforting to me. I'm also disabled and have a small budget. I also spend a lot of time at home and like to spray my perfumes on my bedroom curtains, sheets and pillows. With more expensive fragrances, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that. But my $30 Lataffa? Absolutely. I even enjoy a few of the better dupe houses like Dossier. I have 1 expensive perfume, a Tom Ford, that was over $300 American. It's for occasions like brunch with the girls, a dinner out, etc. I have 12 fragrances and since I enjoy less expensive houses, my grown children will buy me a bottle or two for my birthday or other hols. Fragrance is so personal. For me, it lifts my moods when I'm stuck waiting on another surgery or dealing with a flare. Everyone has their own reason. So, please, understand that Arabians and other cheaper houses are not "less than". I smell and feel amazing in my perfumes. My perfumes are for my enjoyment. Not someone else's.

I'm a new subscriber. I am always on the lookout for real reviews as opposed to an infomercial. I only recently started buying fragrances and really learning about the world of perfumes. I can't believe the size of the collections some UA-camrs have! And many of them are high end, luxury fragrances. How do they afford them all? I wanted to say that I'm just in love with your hair. The color, the curls; just lovely. Thank you, for covering this topic. Now that I know that there are really great scents at low price points I'm definitely finding myself adding more and more to my wish list. It could easily become out of control.

If I have problems with money, I don't buy perfumes. Recently we have bought 2 relatably cheap parfumes and calmed down in this direction. Better live do not beneath your means. Add some frugality, but sleep calmly at nights. And my gosh 80 parfumes.... It's very very strange, bc parfumes also have an expiration date

I remember seeing this in the shop when I was a kid. My mother did not like floral fragrances and wore all the big ambers popular at the time so not sure I ever smelled it. Thanks for the trip down memory lane! Glad to hear it's still somewhat pleasant!

Getting a mini Lou Lou is a great idea. It does give you a big aura for a tiny drop. Just like Poison does. I've got a mini Poison and I seriously use a dot! Amazing!

Hi Claire - that was me re the Stella and the different colours on the neck of the bottle. You scored a bargain with that bottle, I don't think the seller knew what they had as it is so expensive to buy.

I've heard more than once that in perfumery, the only way forwards may be backwards. Definitely some truth in that since history is the greatest teacher. Appreciate the impressions Claire!

Great video! I have around 50 bottles and I can't spray them all every day😢 so...I always loved the idea of signature perfume and I realized that I love Chanel perfumes the most. So...why shouldn't I have only few Chanels? Oooh than I think what about winter...what will I use then? Oooh what about dates? Meaby I need somerhing strong...something gourmand... Is Chanel good option for all ocations in my life...What if I stop smelling it on myself because I wear the same peefume....and the madness is there...😅

I absolutely love trying fragrances, it's been a passion of mine for years. Thankfully, I'm satisfied with a small sample and very rarely buy a full bottle. I have fewer than ten bottles in my collection. Plan to keep it that way. It's so easy to get sucked into the appeal and gratification of buying new perfumes. It becomes an addiction like anything else.
